The Tearsmith (2024)

Based on the Italian bestseller from Erin Doom, this Netflix feature follows two orphans who grow up together and eventually are adopted by the same family. Nica (Caterina Ferioli) is an innocent beauty who suffers at the hands of the abusive matron at the orphanage while Rigel (Simone Baldasseroni) is her aggressive and volatile friend who harbors a secret crush on her, which complicates matters when they technically become brother and sister. In the end, their feelings for each other win out and their relationship turns physical, and Caterina goes from nipping out tank tops and rain-soaked nighties to baring full-on boobage as they make out in a classroom. Italians are known for being all about family, after all.
