Ravishing redhead Arlene Dahl was a Renaissance woman and old school starlet. Through the years, she appeared on film (The Bride Goes Wild, Here Come the Girls), on TV (Pepsi-Cola Playhouse, One Life to Live, Opening night), on stage (Cyrano de Bergerac), and in print (she wrote a syndicated beauty column in 1952). In the ’40s, Ms. Dahl was modeling for department stores -- at the time, this was the equivalent of posing for the Victoria’s Secret catalog so you know she was hot enough to stick pages together. The stacked ingénue then took Hollywood by storm with her screen debut in My Wild Irish Rose (1947), wherein she flaunted her fab figure in lingerie. This was akin to pornography back in the day! Soon Arlene was on her way to stardom as a B-film glamour girl. But this beauty was also blessed with brains. As such, she launched Arlene Dahl Enterprises which marketed lingerie and cosmetics so every woman could look as sexy as she did. Throughout her 96 years of life, Arlene worked hard and played hard. She married six times, once to matinee idol Fernando Lamas with whom she spawned actor Lorenzo Lamas.
