She's best known as Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter films, but Fiona Shaw is actually a respected London-trained stage actress who was a late bloomer to both film and nudity. Some of her earliest roles were in theatrical productions of The Rivals, As You Like It, Les Liaisons Dangereuses (AKA Dangerous Liaisons), The Taming of the Shrew, and The New Inn. She was already in her 30s when she had her big screen big break in the Oscar-winning Daniel Day-Lewis biopic My Left Foot (1989). Then her sharp, mature beauty made its own belated, full-frontal debut in the historical drama Mountains of the Moon (1990).
