Irina Shayk was born in Russia to a coal miner father and music teacher mother. At age six, she started playing the piano and was good enough at it she enrolled in a music school at age nine where she studied music and singing for several years. After her father passed away when she was 14, her mother worked two jobs to support the family and Irina began working at a beauty parlor after high school. While working there, a modeling agent saw her and encouraged her to enter the Miss Chelyabinsk 2004 beauty pageant. The exposure from the pageant led to some modeling jobs. She booked one major ad campaign then exploded on the scene when she landed on the cover of the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. From bikinis to high fashion on the runways of Milan and Paris, Irina quickly became one of the most famous models in the world, landing on the covers of numerous magazines, starring in many ad campaigns, and walking runways for all the top designers. With her modeling career on fire, Irina decided to branch out into acting. She appeared in a few music videos then scored her first big part opposite The Rock in Hercules (2014).

She also turned up on an episode of Inside Amy Schumer and showed some serious cleavage in a little black dress. Irina’s acting career is still growing and she has started presenting and hosting shows in the US and Europe.
