The mesmerizing Maria Doyle Kennedy is an Irish actress and singer-songwriter. Maria was born in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland on September 25, 1964 and is one of Ireland’s most prolific entertainers. Maria is best known for her work in Sing Street (2016), The Commitments (1991), The Conjuring 2 (2016), and on the TV series Downton Abbey and The Tudors. Maria is also known for her two hit albums Sing and Mütter. She also performed with the band The Black Velvet Band and released two albums in the late 80s and early 90s while a part of that group. Maria attended Trinity College, Dublin where she graduated with a degree in political science and business. Maria has been nominated and won several IFTA Awards. She was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2011 and won a Canadian Screen Award for best supporting actress in Orphan Black. Maria gets sexy as Natalie Murphy in The Commitments. We only see her for a second in a skimpy black slip, but even the quick glimpse of this sultry singer-songwriter makes us want to sing ourselves!
