A Chicagoland native who started out in theatre, getting her BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and going on to star in a number of musicals in and around the Windy City, including Little Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Renelle started appear in Chicago-based television shows in 2016, such as Chicago Fire and Empire. She made her big screen debut in the 2020 BET thriller Friend Request and followed it up with the features The Business of Christmas 2 (2021), Montross: Blood Rules (2022), and Christmas with My Ex (2022). Her biggest recurring role was as Nurse Trisha on NBC’s Chicago Med, but Skin fans will know Renelle as Gianna Franklin from Power Book IV: Force, especially after she made one hell of a nudecomer debut in the seventh episode of the second season.
