The Royals (2025)

Not unlike a live action The Princess and the Frog, this Netflix series from India is a formulaic rom-com between a spoiled prince and an up-and-coming girl boss. They have a meet-cute on the beach in Sri Lanka when Sophia Shekhar (Bhumi Pednekar), the hotshot CEO of a hospitality company, goes for a run and collides with the horseback-riding Prince Aviraaj Singh (Ishaan Khatter) of Morpur, but their different personalities are what really clash. They end up working together though because she launches her idea of a “Royal B&B” - where regular folks get to stay in Motibagh Palace - and he’s just returned there to take over the crown after the death of his father. While no nudity, there is the sight of Nora Fatehi in a shiny gold bikini and a secondary lesbian love story between Lisa Mishra and Kavya Trehan that’ll have you giving lap the royal treatment!
