Pretense and reality are taken for a whirlwind spin in Havoc (2005). Under the influence of countless rap videos and relentless “guerrilla urban” marketing campaigns, a pair of rich and coddled Los Angeles princesses (Anne Hathaway and Bijou Phillips) nourish in one another the delusion that they are two gangsta-hard hip hop heiresses apparent. The fantasy is fun and edgy until the unwitting, whiter-than-white girls cross the line that separates the squeaky clean streets of affluence from the gritty alleyways of low-rider culture. In other words, what starts out as acts of make believe rebellion turns into a fight for real life survival. The crime thriller includes Channing Tatum, Laura San Giacomo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shiri Appleby, Freddy Rodriguez, Alexis Dziena, Sam Bottoms, Laura Breckenridge, and lots of nudity! Throughout the course of the story, we get to see Ms. Hathaway and Ms. Phillips in all states of undress. Both babes lose their tops to make out with gangsters. In one scene, Anne flashes her butt crack during a street fight. In another, Matt O’Leary immortalizes the brunette stunner’s nipples on camera when she pulls down her camisole. Not to be outdone, Bijou bares her back and rack while scrubbing up in the bathroom. If that’s not arousing enough, the hot blonde dons a thong and nothing more during a threesome. Even though this direct to video release may have been a financial and critical flop, Mr. Skin has no problem giving it two thumbs (and another part of the anatomy) way up!
