But that’s part of the backstory of the enchanting Eve Best, the Oxford graduate who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and would land leading roles on both Broadway and in London, racking up a Tony nom for A Moon for the Misbegotten and winning an Olivier award for her performance as the titular Hedda Gabler. Eve’s screen credits are just as remarkable. After a decade of appearing in short films and guesting on British television, Eve was tapped to play Wallis Simpson, the divorcee King Edward VIII (Guy Pearce) abdicated his throne for in the Best Picture-winning drama The King’s Speech (2010). She spent 2009 through 2015 portraying Dr. Eleanor O’Hara on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and even popped up as Carole Middleton (mother of Catherine) on Netflix’s The Crown (2023), but she’s probably most known for her stunning work as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen on the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon (2022-2024). Sadly, Eve never got the chance to disrobe on the series before her character was killed in battle, but then in 2025, we got Eve’s spiciest scene to date in the BBC One rich-people-behaving-badly series Wild Cherry. Eve stars as the wealthy mother of one of two daughters caught in a prep school scandal, the discovery of which ends up leading to besties Eve and Carmen Ejogo locking lips and heading to the bedroom for a threesome. Though there’s no nudity, perhaps this is a sign of things to come, and one day we’ll finally see Eve’s Breast!
