Murder Mindfully (2024)

Based on the same-named novel, Achtsam Morden, this darkly comedic German series centers on successful defense lawyer Björn Diemel (Tom Schilling), who we’re introduced to just as he’s deftly getting an acquittal for his latest client. But while his work life is going swimmingly, his personal life is floundering. Frustrated with his many failings as a husband and father, his wife Katharina (Emily Cox) suggests he take a mindfulness course in order to better achieve a solid work-life balance. Björn starts to strive to put these new practices to work, but when all his progress is threatened by the dangerous actions of his client, he decides the best thing to do is to kill the client. He’s still feeling the consequences in the second season as he continues to struggle with family v. business, as well as his newfound ties to the criminal underworld. By episode six of season two, he’s getting it on with Friederike Kempter, who strips down to her undies for some couch canoodling. We don’t see any boobage, but we do see a beautiful back tattoo. Hopefully next time she won’t be so mindful of where the cameras are and we’ll get a flash of funbag!
