Nancy Kwan was plucked from obscurity while training as a professional ballerina in London by noted producer Ray Stark, who cast her in the title role of The World of Susie Wong in 1960. It seemed that her career in the movies would reach never-before-seen heights for the Hong Kong-born actress but sadly, after several hit movies in the 1960s, including The Main Attraction and Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N., this eastern beauty’s career went a bit south when she relocated to her native land to be with her dying father. Nancy managed to make a few notable flicks in the 1970s, although pictures like Wonder Women and Supercock (which wasn’t nearly as ribald as the title suggests) didn’t quite give her career the boost it needed at the time. Regardless, Nancy trudged on and although she’s best known for her line of cosmetics which she hawks on infomercials, she’s maintained her acting career with appearances in films like Cold Dog Soup and in various episodes of television series such as ER. We here at Skin Central, though, prefer to remember Nancy for her role in 1983’s Walking the Edge. In it, she sports a nice see-through bra and although she was well into her 40s at the time, her tight dancer’s body is still a welcomed treat for the eyes.
