Ribbon (2024)

The second short film from director Irmak Akgür following her debut short Limerence, Ribbon opens with star Zeynep Kalender (also from Limerence) as our no-named protagonist getting her back pierced by her boyfriend (Jinho Myung). He even threads pink and black ribbons through the hoops like a corset while he tells her about the panic he experienced after adopting a dog. After falling asleep, she gets up and goes to the bathroom to take a pregnancy test, which turns out positive. Now our girl has to figure out some way to tell this man who was overwhelmed at the idea of taking care of a pooch, so a baby just might send him over the edge. Zeynep is just in a pair of undies for most of the film, her bare breasts almost peeking out from the side as she lies on her stomach. She does end up telling him, but it doesn’t matter, because the final shot is focused directly on her pantied crotch as she starts bleeding. Maybe it’s for the best, because a baby would have definitely ripped out those ribbons! Ouch!
