The Balconettes (2024) is the second feature film co-written and directed by actress Noémie Merlant, who also co-stars as Élise who, along with her roommates Ruby (Souheila Yacoub) and Natalie (Sanda Codreanu) is trapped on their balcony during a heatwave power outage! The trio is soon taken by the hot guy (Lucas Bravo) who lives across the street from them, imagining all manner of outrageous sexual thrills they'd have with him. However, as the endless day wears on, the trio begins to suspect that their hot neighbor is actually a cold-blooded murderer! The trailer has both Souheila Yacoub and Noémie Merlant go topless in what amounts to a two minute sizzle reel, and somehow even with that taste of the smokeshow that was to come, we still were not prepared. Both ladies are undressed several times, and eventually deliver all three Bs. Noémie even delivers the up skirt shot of the century when she goes spread eagle to get into some stirrups in a doctors office. It's may just be more of a shock than the film's big plot twist!
