After appearing in eighteen short films, including, Of Vikings and Zombies En media de la noche, and Lo siento from 2009 to 2021 (and one episode of the television drama series La verdad), Esther Lastra landed her first major feature role in the 2021 sci-fi horror The Winter Hunger. She plays Julia, a survivor of a deadly rabies pandemic who ends up in a remote village with a bearded Gustavo Fernández.
