The Montréal native is yet another actress out of Canada who threatens to melt the frozen tundra with her steamy screen presence. Indeed, the smoldering starlet first sizzled onscreen when she starred on the Great White North TV series Northwood (1991). As the sinfully hot Cindy, Frida left viewers with some wood down south. Considering that affect, it didn’t take long for Hollywood to call, and the ambitious ingénue came. The same can be said for audience members who caught the bouncing babe in the TV movie Aftershock: Earthquake in New York (1999), in which she made the earth move for couch potatoes everywhere. Titillating turns in the romantic comedy Lucky Stars (2004) and the drama Crime (2008) followed. But not before Ms. Betrani lost her top (literally) in Last Wedding (2001). Better titled Lust Wedding, the R-rated dramedy has Frida trying on her bridal gown — and exposing her bra as well as her naked nuptials. Forget the bride, here comes every male viewer!
