Not one to let youth get in the way of her career aspirations, this ravishing Romanian from Timisoara was performing in plays with SAS Theatre in Bucharest since the tender age of 11. While studying at the German High School and, following that, the National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography, Mara continued to work own stage while also playing the part of Alice in the television series Export Only. She then made both her film and nude debut in the 2022 Cannes Festival favorite Metronom. In the 1972-set film, she plays a 17-year-old who gets in trouble with the police for listening to a banned radio program at a party while showing her cans to her boyfriend in the hopes he won’t leave the country. Mara’s mams are enough to get us to stay in a communist dictatorship!
